Jeff started Aquiline after years of executive leadership in the insurance sector. Before founding the firm in 2005, he was the chairman and CEO of Marsh & McLennan. Earlier in his tenure with Marsh, Jeff had led the company’s private equity business, MMC Capital. Jeff also spent 17 years at AIG in various executive roles, including executive vice president of AIG’s domestic brokerage group.
At Aquiline, Jeff sits on the investment committees for the AFS, ATG and ACO fund families and serves on portfolio company boards across the firm’s investment areas.
In addition to his business activities, Jeff serves as a Trustee of the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, Member of the Board of Overseers at Weill Cornell Medical College, and Board Member at the Starr International Foundation. He is also a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and the Council on Foreign Relations, and is a Fellow of the Foreign Policy Association.
